Staff Profiles
Neil Willmett
Managing Director, Willmett Group
Neil is a public administrator, policy advisor and small business author with significant skills and experience in human resource management, small business, procurement and project management. He is the owner of Willmett Consultants which was established in 2004 after 15 years of involvement in the employment, health, training and recruitment sectors where he has played a key role in the provision of senior level advice to government and industry.
Neil has held several Directorships in the not-for-profit and business sectors. He is currently the Chairman of the peak Indigenous business body – the Indigenous Business Council of Australia (IBCA) and a Director of the Australian Indigenous Minority Supplier Council (AIMSC). Neil is also an executive committee member of the South East Queensland Indigenous Chamber of Commerce (SEQICC) and a number of government taskforces and advisory groups which are focused on creating business and employment opportunities for Indigenous people in Australia.
He has an undergraduate qualification in management from the University of Queensland and is responsible for the overall management and strategic direction of Willmett Consultants.
Glenn Pereira
Small Business Strategist, Willmett Consultants
Glenn is a Small Business Strategist with the Willmett Group. Glenn’s various professional roles have led to highly developed skills and experience in the people management, business development, sales strategies and finance.
His strengths are:

He commenced his career working in the hospitality industry where he managed hotels, restaurants and bars. He has been an Operational Manager and General Manager for some of Queensland’s largest establishments. In these roles he has been responsible for business growth strategies, building the strength of his sales team and the management capacity of these companies. His strength is in business planning and customer strategies.
Glenn offers practical advice to business owners that are based on his business experience including tips on marketing, customer relations, operating systems, sales, stock management and how to minimise unnecessary spending.
John Anderson
Small Business Strategist, Willmett Consultants
John is a Small Business Strategist with the Willmett Group. He has a broad range of knowledge, experience, skills, and creative and critical thinking in the area of youth initiatives, socio-economic policy, facilitated change, ethics-based leadership, and business and community cultural development.
His strengths are:

John is an experienced facilitator and improver of policy and program outcomes flowing from decades of public and private sector experiences. John’s additional strengths from a mix of formal qualifications in engineering design, communications and social science include: coaching and mentoring; visualisation; monitoring and evaluation; human resource and asset management; and cultural communication concepts. He is also a member of the International Coaching Federation.
John is the Executive Director of Pi-CaTS Pty Ltd through which he provides consulting and training services throughout regional Australia.
William (Sam) Jeffries

Sam is a Small Business Strategist with the Willmett Group. He has a broad range of knowledge, experience, skills and in the areas of governance, leadership, people development and Indigenous affairs.

Sam is an experienced public administrator and has held a number of senior positions and Directorships in the not-for-profit sector. In 2001 he was awarded the Centenary Medal in 2001 for services to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community in NSW. His work experience and knowledge have enabled him to build the capacity of businesses and communities.
Sam is an Adjunct Professor Jumbunna Indigenous House of Learning University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and is also the Managing Director of Sam Jeffries Consulting Pty Ltd.
Charles (Charlie) Jia
Small Business Strategist, Willmett Consultants
Charlie is a Small Business Strategist with the Willmett Group. Charlie has worked in private and public positions at local, state and national levels. His professional journey commenced as a Community Development Officer in Mackay.
His strengths are:

He worked as a Senior Project Officer with the Queensland Community Services and Health Industry Training Council, before his role as the National Executive Officer for the Australian Indigenous Training Advisory Council set up by the Australian National Training Authority (ANTA).
He currently sits on various committees representing his immediate community and is a founding member of the South East Queensland Indigenous Chamber of Commerce and the inaugural President since 2006.
Charlie brings a variety of skills to the Willmett Group including a comprehensive understanding of community development, policy and procedures development and training, employment and business knowledge.
